Terms of use

Plain English, because terms nobody reads protect nobody. STATIONS is run by Andre Rafizadeh in Morristown, New Jersey. Using the site means you accept what is below. Questions: hello@stations.fit.

This is exercise. It is not medical advice.

STATIONS builds circuit workouts and times them. That is all it is. It is not a medical device, it is not supervised instruction, and nothing it shows or says is medical advice. If you have a heart condition, are pregnant, are recovering from injury or surgery, take medication that affects your heart rate or balance, or have not trained in a long time, talk to a doctor before you start.

Stop if something is wrong. Chest pain, dizziness, faintness, sudden or sharp pain, or pain that is different from ordinary training discomfort — stop, and get medical help if it does not pass. Do not train through it because a clock is running.

You decide what is safe for you. You are responsible for judging whether a movement suits your body, your experience, your space and your equipment, and for warming up, for the state of your floor and kit, and for anyone else nearby.

The filters are conveniences, not safety guarantees. Telling STATIONS about sore areas, your ceiling height or your equipment changes what it offers you. It reduces what appears. It does not make anything that appears safe for you, and it cannot know what it was not told.

The coach is encouragement, not instruction. Its lines are written in advance or generated by a language model. It does not know your medical history and cannot see how you are moving. Ignore it whenever it conflicts with your own judgement or your doctor's.

The rep counter counts. It does not judge technique. When you turn it on it reads the camera to count repetitions. It makes no assessment of your form, and a number on the screen is not an opinion about how you moved. Nothing it says about a set being shorter than it started is a claim about your body.

You take part at your own risk, and you accept the ordinary risks of exercise, including injury.

What is free and what is paid

The interval timer, the workout builder, the exercise library, the animations, the coach, your history and the rep counter are free, with no account.

Training with a friend over live video is the paid part. Your first call is free. After that the person who starts the call needs a subscription — whoever joins never pays.

Billing

  • Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or hold your card details.
  • A subscription renews automatically for the same period until you cancel.
  • You can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • We do not refund part-used periods, except where the law says we must.
  • Prices can change. If they do, we will say so before your next renewal.

If you are signed in when you subscribe, it follows your account — any device you sign in on has it. If you are not, keep your recovery code: we show you a twelve-character code, once, on the confirmation screen. That code is how your subscription moves to another phone, and how you get it back if you clear your browser's site data. We store only a hash of it, which means nobody — us included — can look yours up later. Copy it somewhere safe before you close the page.

You can also sign in with Google, or have us email you a link — both reach the same account without a code to keep. A sign-in link works once and expires after fifteen minutes. However many of these you use, it is one account, not several.

If you lose the code and still have a device that is signed in, ask for a new one in Your access; that cancels the old code and signs out every other device. If you lose the code and have no signed-in device left, email hello@stations.fit from the address you paid with and we will sort it out by hand. Email sign-in is coming and will be a second way into the same account.

Live video calls

Calls are between you and whoever you send the link to. We pass the details the two browsers need to find each other, and where a network will not allow a direct connection your encrypted video is relayed through a server so the call still works. We do not record calls and we do not watch them.

You are responsible for who you invite and for what you do on a call. Do not use it for anything unlawful, or to harass, threaten or record someone without their agreement.

What you may not do

  • Copy, republish or redistribute the site or any part of it, or build a competing product from it.
  • Take the exercise library, the coaching cues, the coach dialogue or the animations for use elsewhere.
  • Work around the paywall, or use the relay in a way it was not built for — scripted abuse, load testing, scraping, or reselling access.

Who owns what

Everything here is ours: the code, the exercise library and its cues, the coach personas and their dialogue, the figure animations, the artwork, the name STATIONS and the logo. Your browser downloads a copy of the page in order to run it, and that is the only permission being given. Nothing about the source being readable makes it free to use.

Your workout history and your profile are yours. They live on your device and we do not claim them.

Other people's services

Music comes from SoundCloud and Mixcloud embeds. We do not host, own or licence any music, and their terms apply to their players. Payments go through Stripe. The site and the relay run on Cloudflare and GitHub. If one of those is down, part of STATIONS will be down with it.

No warranty

STATIONS is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available, uninterrupted, accurate, or suitable for any particular purpose, and we do not promise the timer will keep running if your phone decides to suspend the page. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties.

Limits on what we owe you

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for injury arising from your decision to perform a movement. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you have actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which for a free user is nothing.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Age

STATIONS is not intended for under-16s and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Ending it

You can stop using STATIONS at any time; clearing your browser data removes everything it kept. We can suspend access that is being used to abuse the service or to break these terms.

Changes

We will update this page as the product changes and move the date at the top. Continuing to use STATIONS after a change means you accept it.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, and disputes belong to the courts of New Jersey.
